Middle Eastern Beauty Tips

Middle Eastern women are known around the world for their radiant skin, thick lashes and youthful beauty. It’s not just the habit of covering the skin that leaves Arab women looking young and glowing well into old age- we have beauty secrets handed down through generations to keep us looking our best.

Here are a few Arab beauty tips for women anywhere who are looking to get that glow.

Oils

For many Arab women, it’s all about the oils. Argan oil (discussed in another of my articles in more detail), olive oil, camellia oil and a variety of other oils are used by many Arab women to get shining, soft hair and radiant, youthful skin. These oils can be used to condition hair or moisturize the skin no matter what age you are, so experiment with them and you should see some major improvements in your appearance.

Hammam Baths

Hammam baths are a traditional Arab sauna treatment in which you receive a long, luxurious massage, followed by steaming and bathing. Many women in the Middle East take part in this ritualistic beauty treatment, believing that it has spiritual benefits as well as benefits for their skin and beauty. Look around your area for similar treatments if you want to relax your mind and body and revitalize your skin Arab style.

Sun Exposure

Though it’s not all about the sun, it certainly plays a role. Women in the Middle East are used to very hot climates and scorching sunshine- they know that continued exposure to this level of UV rays would destroy their skin very quickly. Covering up and staying in the shade is a simple way to prevent premature ageing and keep your skin looking beautiful, no matter where you are. If you must be out in the sun, use a good quality sunscreen with a high SPF. Even when the sun is behind clouds, the rays can do damage.
